Career: At the age of 17, he took to the outdoor pitch in his native country Brazil with Sao Paulo Futbol Club, Lages Esporte Clube, Sport Club Bahia, Associacao Portuguesa de De sportos, Sport Club Santo Andre and C.E. Umuarama before coming to the United States to play for the indoor Kansas City Comets in 2004. His first year in the U.S., he was named to the MISL All- Rookie Team having earned a 5.76 goals against average during the regular season. He has also been a productive team member on the Baltimore Blast where he maintained low goals against average and recorded his first shutout against the Philadelphia KiXX in February of 2005. Sanaldo was rostered with the expansion Detroit Ignition team where he led the team to its first MISL Championship game.
