03/18/2010 2:40 PM - 2010 MISL Championship Game will be Held on April 4
The Major Indoor Soccer League has announced the schedule for the 2010 postseason. The Milwaukee Wave earned the 2009-10 regular season championship and will host 2010 MISL Championship Game against the Semifinal winner on Sunday, April 4th at 5 p.m. CT . The second-place Baltimore Blast and the third-place Monterrey La RaZa will play each other in a home-and-home Semifinal series; the Philadelphia KiXX and Rockford Rampage have been eliminated from playoff contention.
"The 2009-10 MISL season has once again proven how fiercely competitive our league has become," said David J. Grimaldi, Commissioner of the MISL. "Every regular season game mattered, which added a tremendous level of excitement that you usually only see in the playoffs. This is what we want from our teams, players and coaches. Congratulations to the Milwaukee Wave owner Jim Lindenberg and coach Keith Tozer for winning the 2009-10 MISL Regular Season. The Wave have earned the honor of hosting the MISL Championship Game on April 4th at U.S. Cellular Arena. And congratulations to the Baltimore Blast and La RaZa de Monterrey for again making it to the playoffs. The Philadelphia KiXX and Rockford Rampage will have to look again to next year but both teams have added key players at the end of this season which will certainly make them more competitive in the 2010-11 season."

Monday, March 29th - Monterrey La RaZa at Baltimore Blast
If the Semifinal series is tied after the conclusion of Game Two, a Golden Goal mini-game will be played to determine the winner.

About The MISL
The MISL represents the major league of professional indoor soccer, featuring the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The league will consist of five member clubs in 2009-10: the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Milwaukee Wave. The regular season lasted 18 weeks, commencing on Friday, November 13 and concluding on Sunday, March 21. The postseason will begin on March 26 with the Championship Game taking place on April 4.
